Kawasaki kx26, June 25, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Kawasaki KX26 Men's 26-Inch Mountain Bike (Sports) I bought this bike because of the brand name. I thought it would be a quality bike. I was disappointed that it was so heavy and that the gears shifted poorly. I used it mainly as a road bike but the low air pressure and knobby tires made pedaling difficult. I bought a hybrid with high air pressure road tires and this is much better for this use.

Once my step son took it for a ride he said the breaks didnt work nor did the speed changer & it was making sounds. I took it to the bike shop and ended up paying over 70 bucks cause they had to rebend a tire and said it was put to gether all wrong! The bike came allready put to gether pretty much I just had to put on the seat and the handlbars. The Bike Shop said that the breaks need to be switched, I would of had no clue! WHAT IF I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY TO SPEND?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a $100 I paid for it on Amazon it all I expected it to be. The only thing I changed was the saddle, as it was a little hard for my butt. I am not sure why previous reviewer had problems with his bike. It could be just defective bikes he purchased or just some who doesn't like to read assembly instructions. If you want a decent, inexpensive bike for an occasional ride, just go for it.
