I had been looking to upgrade my RANS Rocket to something with 26" wheels and a little more performance oriented. After looking at variety of Recumbents I came across the Cruzbike SofRider. The front wheel drive intrigued me as did some of the discussion on the forums concerning performance and handling. So I determined to take the plunge and give it a try.
The great experience related to Cruzbike began with the order process. Prior to order I sent off an email with a question - response was received within 24 hours. I then place my order on a Monday, to my surprise on Friday the bike was dropped at the door. The bike included detailed instructions. To help with the assembly I also found a video on youtube of the bike designer putting one together - a little bit of wind noise on the video but the video made it easy to follow along as you assemble the bike. Took me about 2-3 hours; though much of the time was spent with adjustments that I'm not too good at.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful A nice recumbent bike, March 16, 2012 By This review is from: Cruzbike Sofrider V2.2 (Misc.) This bike is a very nice recumbent bike for the price. Being a front wheel drive moving bottom bracket (the pedals move side to side when you turn the handlebars) takes a while to get used to, but I really like it.
Component-wise, it probably doesn't beat too many diamond frame ("regular" upright) bicycles at the same price point, but recumbent bicycles are (unfortunately) more expensive. This is an entry level bike that has a lot of room for upgrades (you can easily add a front disk brake and upgrade it to full 700c wheels).
The moving bottom bracket is not for everybody, but for those who like it, they really like it. I highly recommend it.
2 of 5 people found the following review helpful I liked the design but riding the bike was not good., February 2, 2012 By Viking Navy (Fullerton, Ca USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Cruzbike Sofrider V2.2 (Misc.) I did not like how it felt to ride. I returned it. All the time I was riding this bike, it felt like I had my big sister riding on the handlebars. Very heavy feel.
And my seat hurt after only a few miles.
