Initial impression, April 10, 2011 This review is from: Northwoods Mens Springdale 21 Speed Hybrid Bicycle, Black (Sports) Just finished putting the bike together and adjusting things after a couple test runs. Here's what I think so far:
For the price (around $200), it's a good looking bike and seems like a solid deal. Up close you won't mistake this for a $500+ ride, but it went together fairly smoothly, shifts well and it rides comfortably. Much of the work has been done, main assembly and brakes are the primary tasks. Even the kickstand was already attached. Make sure you have a decent set of hex wrenches though, preferably metric.
A small issue is that the instructions don't completely match the bike. Most of the differences are intuitive and minor, especially if you are familiar with putting together bicycles. This maybe cost me 10 minutes and a little brainpower.

I'm 6'3" 210 lbs., and am very comfortable riding. bike was delivered undamaged, i put it together with no problems, i am pretty handy, but it still was an easy assm.), made a few minor adjustments, and have not had a problem since. bike is very smooth, and quiet, easy to ride. this is not a $500.00 bike, but for the money, worth every penny.

It came well-packaged and hadn't been damaged at all during shipment.
You'll need two hex wrenches, as well as, standard fix-it tools for this one, but given that, everything came together pretty easily. Fortunately quite a bit of the bike had been factory assembled, such as the rear wheel with derailer, kick stand and rear brakes. I didn't have to figure out the derailer system or make any adjustments to it thanks to the factory tuning, thank God! The front wheel, seat, handle bars, fenders (which were metal, yea!), one gear changer and front brakes had to be partially assembled and adjusted, but they were no biggy.
I love this bike! Well worth the money.
PS I also recommend the Myrrycle mirror which fits, no problem.
