Torker LX 20 Inch Reviews
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful A great unicycle, May 20, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This is the second unicycle I purchased. The first one, a Mongoose Squid, broke after three days (about 2 hours) of riding. All I wanted to do was to learn to ride a unicycle, and the Mongoose couldn't even provide that.
Mongoose gave me a full refund, and I decided to go with a Torker Unistar LX. It cost only a little bit more, but it is worth every penny. As soon as I opened the box, the high quality of this unicycle was obvious. This is a solid, solid unicycle.
After about a month now of riding, I see no signs of fatigue in the Torker. I've been going off curbs/bumps, and I've even been "pogo-sticking" with it a lot. This unicycle handles it all with no problem.
The handle on the seat is a great feature as well, and it helps preserve your unicycle from some of the bumps and falls. If you are new to unicycling, you cannot go wrong with the Unistar LX.
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Torker Unistar LX-20, August 4, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Torker LX 20 Inch (Misc.) This is my first unicycle and I have had it for three days. I absolutely love this uni. It is a great unicycle for a beginner like me and it seems like it will last a long time. I have learned to ride pretty quickly as I can rock up and ride anywhere between 50-100 yards at a time. The handle on the front of the seat is very useful when getting on and off. It will come in handy when learning to do tricks as well. The plastic guard on the back is a good design idea so the seat doesn't get torn up every time it hits the ground. Overall I would recommend this uni to anyone who wants to get started in this fun sport. By the way I'm 5-11 and weigh 155 if that helps anyone.
6 of 7 people found the following review helpful Quality unicycle. Kids are loving them., July 18, 2010 By Muni "muni" (idaho) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Torker LX 20 Inch (Misc.) First of all I ride a Kris Holm 29er mountain uni. My two boys ages 9 and 12 wanted to learn to ride. The reviews made this seem like a good quality unicycle for a reasonable price. So far I completely agree. Bought 2. They seem well made, easy to assemble, and my boys were able to learn to ride them within about 3 hours of putting them together. We did need a pipe cutter to shorten the seat stem, but this only took a few minutes. (I already had this from shortening the stem on my uni.)
Tons of fun, and a they are learning a new skill.
Tip: we saved the foam padding and duct taped it to the front and back of the seat to protect from all those early learning seat bangs. I recommend this.
Bottom line: It's not quite a Kris Holm, but at 1/5 the price and for it's purpose it is great!!
